What we collect when you browse, buy, or use a kit, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it.
Effective date: October 26, 2026
Who we are
RT Invests is a wealth coaching and financial education business run by Raymond Tran, based in Brooklyn, New York. The legal entity is FIRE Coaching LLC, a New York limited liability company, at FIRE Coaching LLC, c/o Northwest Registered Agent LLC, 418 Broadway STE N, Albany, NY 12207, USA.
This policy covers rtinvests.com, the coaching we sell through it, and the digital kits we sell through it. If you have a question about it, email us at business@rtinvests.com.
What we collect when you browse
The site runs its own usage tracking. There is no Google Analytics and no Meta pixel script in your browser. Instead, your browser sends events to our own server, and our server stores them in our database. We use this to see which pages, tools, and steps people use, and which ads or links brought them here.
Each event can include:
- The event name, such as page view, tool view, tool interaction, checkout submit, or contact form submit.
- The page path and page URL, and the tool, stage, or step the event belongs to.
- The landing page of your visit and the domain of the site that referred you.
- Campaign parameters from the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) and the Meta or Google click id (fbclid, gclid) when you arrive from an ad or a social link.
- A random visitor id that we create and keep in your browser. It is not linked to your name.
- A hashed version of your IP address. We salt and hash the address before we store it, and we never store the raw address.
Inputs you type into the free calculators and trackers on the Learn pages stay in your browser. They are not sent to us.
We never track the internal admin dashboard, and only RT Invests can open that dashboard.
What we collect when you buy
Checkout is handled by Stripe. You give your name and an email address for the receipt. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch our servers. We never see or store your full card number.
Stripe keeps the payment record. We attach a few fields to it so we can deliver what you bought and see where the sale came from:
- The product you bought and, for coaching, the topic you chose.
- The utm_source and utm_campaign values that were on the page when you started checkout.
- The first 200 characters of your browser's user agent string.
- Your email address, so we can find your purchase again if you ask for a new access link.
After a successful payment we send you a receipt email and a copy to our own inbox. Both go through Resend, our email provider. The copy to us includes your name, your email, the product, the amount, and the Stripe payment id.
What we collect when you use a kit
The First Door Kit and The Stop Date Kit open after payment through a signed access link. The link puts a signed cookie in your browser that holds your Stripe payment id. That cookie is what lets you back into the kit without logging in.
The kits contain tools where you enter numbers and answers, such as hours, rent, fees, and yes or no checks. We save that progress in your browser so it is there when you come back. We also sync it to a kit progress table in our database, keyed by your Stripe payment id, so it survives a cleared browser or a new device. We do not use your kit answers for anything except showing them back to you.
If you lose your access link, you can enter your email on the kit page. We look up Stripe purchases made with that email and, if we find one, we email you a fresh link. We give the same reply whether or not we find a purchase, so nobody can use that form to check whether you are a customer.
What we collect when you contact or book us
The contact form asks for your name, email, phone, what you are interested in, your time commitment, your available upfront capital, and a message. We email that to our inbox through Resend so Ray can reply to you. We do not store it in our database.
If you buy coaching, your confirmation page and your receipt email link to Calendly to book your first session. We prefill Calendly with your name, your email, and the topic you chose. Calendly then collects your booking under its own privacy policy.
Why we use your information
In plain terms, we use what we collect for these reasons:
- To deliver what you bought: send receipts, open kit access, save your kit progress, and book sessions. This is needed to perform our contract with you.
- To answer you when you write to us. This is your request.
- To understand how the site is used and whether our ads work. This is our legitimate interest in running the business. Where the law in your location requires consent for this, we rely on your consent.
- To keep records that tax and accounting law require. This is a legal duty.
Advertising measurement with Meta
When it is switched on, our server forwards site events to Meta through the Conversions API. This tells Meta that a page view, a checkout, a contact form, or a similar event happened, so we can measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work. Those events may include your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page URL, and the values of the _fbp and _fbc cookies described below. The site does not send your name, your email, or any card details to Meta.
Under some state laws this counts as sharing personal information for advertising. You can ask us to stop forwarding events for you by email, and you can also limit ad tracking in your Meta account settings.
Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the site and deliver what you bought:
- Stripe, which processes payments and stores the payment record.
- Resend, which sends our receipts, access links, and contact form emails.
- Vercel, which hosts the site and runs our server code.
- Neon, which hosts our database, including usage events and kit progress.
- Meta, which receives advertising measurement events as described above.
- Wistia, which plays the videos inside The First Door Kit. The player loads from Wistia in an embedded frame and may set its own cookies.
- Calendly, which handles coaching session booking.
- Behold and Instagram, which power the Instagram feed on our About page. The feed loads from their servers and may set their own cookies.
Each of these providers handles your data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Cookies and browser storage
Our own site sets these cookies:
- _fbp: a Meta browser id created by our server for every visitor, used for ad attribution. Lasts 90 days.
- _fbc: a Meta click id, set only when you arrive with an fbclid in the URL. Lasts 90 days.
- fdk_access and sdk_access: signed kit access cookies for The First Door Kit and The Stop Date Kit. They are HttpOnly, secure, and last one year.
The site also keeps these values in your browser's local storage: rt_vid (the random visitor id), rt_attribution_v1 (the campaign and referrer values for the current session), fdk_progress_v1 and sdk_progress_v1 (your kit progress), and theme (your light or dark mode choice).
Stripe, Wistia, Calendly, Behold, and Instagram may set their own cookies when their embedded content loads. You can clear or block cookies in your browser. If you clear the kit access cookie, use the access link in your receipt or request a new one on the kit page.
How long we keep it
- Usage events and kit progress: we keep these while we operate the site. We do not have an automatic deletion schedule. We delete your records when you ask.
- Kit access: the link in your receipt works for 30 days, a fresh link from the kit page works for 7 days, and the access cookie lasts one year. You can always request a new link.
- Payment records: kept in Stripe for as long as accounting and tax law require.
- Contact form and purchase emails: kept in our inbox until we delete them.
- Meta cookies: 90 days.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email business@rtinvests.com from the address you used with us. We reply within 30 days. We may need to keep payment records that tax and accounting law require, and we will tell you if so.
You can also ask us to stop forwarding events for you to Meta, clear your browser's cookies and storage at any time, and block cookies in your browser settings.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information. Forwarding events to Meta for advertising measurement may count as sharing under California law. To opt out, email us and we will stop forwarding events for you. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Kit access links and cookies are signed so they cannot be forged, and they expire. IP addresses are hashed before storage. Card details are handled only by Stripe. No method of storage or transfer is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that nothing will ever go wrong, but we work to keep your data safe.
Children
This site, the coaching, and the kits are for adults. They are not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States and our providers process data there. If you use the site from another country, your information is transferred to and handled in the United States.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site. Your continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
